My grandmother made this special treat every Christmas. She always set some aside for me because she knew they were my favorite! Grandma’s Peanut Butter Scotchies are now a Christmas tradition in my family. You will love these – I promise!
Warning: These are addictive. Try not to eat all of them in one day.
Ingredients
- 6 c Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 c creamy peanut butter
- 12 oz pkg butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Add cereal to a large mixing bowl; set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, add peanut butter and stir for 30 seconds. Add butterscotch chips and stir constantly until chips have melted.
- Pour butterscotch mixture over cereal and gently stir with wooden spoon until combined. Let cool for a few minutes then drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Cool until set and enjoy!
